The PS3 has been cracked for sometime now, and apparently after four exciting years, the PS3 finally has a place for homebrew! This is obviously a very pleasant news for the guys who want to really program something on the PS3 without relying on OtherOS – before it was removed. Now you’ve got access to the whole hardware including the forbidden RSX. At the moment, the only way to produce software to the PS3 is using the official SDK, since the unofficial SDK is not released yet! But we’re still waiting for it.
On the hand, the incident is very pleasant for the guys who “love” piracy too, even though the PS3 is cracked now and can run unsigned code, I will still support the developers through buying original copies only.
